When I started my dermatology practice, eczemas/ atopic dermatitis/ skin asthma were most often treated with topical steroids. Moisturizers were the last in the priority list of medications to buy.

However, in the recent years and after studying more about eczema, I’ve turned 360 degrees and placed good moisturizers in the top of my prescription. In this video, I explain why we atopic skin need to apply moisturizers daily — yes, even when you are not in flare!
